The Astrid G. Cates Vocational School Scholarship awards up to $1,500 to one U.S. citizen between the ages of 17 and 26 who is pursuing technical or vocational study in any field at an accredited institution within the United States. Applicants must provide proof of enrollment and be current members of Sons of Norway or the children or grandchildren of a member with at least one year of active membership prior to applying. Required materials include a short autobiography, transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and responses detailing how the applicant will share their experience with Sons of Norway or the broader Norwegian-American community.
