About this scholarship
The Becky Burrows Memorial Scholarship provides aid to students who are reentering the job market, beginning "second careers," or seeking to improve their professional skills for their current occupation by continuing their education in that field. Students must pursue a career working with youth and young adults in leadership and development, helping people and encouraging brain safety and health, or caring for families during times of need. Applicants must be students classified as undergraduates, graduate students or doctoral students. They must be re-entering the job market, beginning a "second career," or seeking to improve professional skills for their current occupation by continuing their education in that field. They must have career goals that further Pilot International's mission of (1) working with youth and young adults in leadership and development, (2) helping people and encouraging brain safety and health, or (3) caring for families during times of need. Applicants must submit a resume or CV. A list of extracurricular and/or community activities must be submitted, if the information is not on the resume or CV. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation dated within the last 12 months from teachers, professors, faculty advisors or employers. It is optional but applicants may also submit their prior high school and/or undergraduate transcripts, if applicable.
