About this scholarship
A four-year scholarship paying $1,000 per semester for eight consecutive semesters (total $8,000) for children of a widow/widower who has never remarried. Students must be enrolling or enrolled full-time at a college in Louisiana or Texas. The scholarship honors Brent P. Poor who passed in a tragic boating incident in 2010.
