About this scholarship
The Carville M. Akehurst Memorial Scholarship is awarded to qualified students to help ensure the continuity of the nursery and landscape profession. Applicants must have at least junior standing in a four-year curriculum or senior standing in a two-year curriculum and maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA overall and 3.0 GPA in their major. Preference is given to applicants who plan to work within the horticulture industry following graduation.
