About this scholarship
The CBC Spouses Essay Contest awards $2,000, $1,500, and $1,250 to Black high school juniors and seniors who submit the best essays on topics addressing pressing issues in Black/African American communities. Applicants must reside in a district represented by a Congressional Black Caucus Member.
