About this scholarship

The David and Rose Macy Scholarship is a renewable $5,000 award established to support students in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State University. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens majoring in Soil and Crop Science, Animal Science, or Agricultural and Resource Economics. Undergraduate applicants must be residents of Colorado or Wyoming, while post-secondary applicants are not subject to residency requirements. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA and Student Aid Index (SAI), though those eligible for Pell Grants are not eligible to apply. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses for the upcoming fall semester, with funds split between semesters. One to two recipients are selected annually, and the award may be renewed for up to two additional years if renewal criteria are met. Applications must include a college transcript with fall grades, resume, short answer responses, essay, financial statement, and disclosure of other scholarships received.
