Dr. Susie Beris Scholarship

About this scholarship

The Dr. Susie Beris Scholarship will be awarded to a student or students graduating from Pomperaug High School or Nonnewaug High School, whose family has been impacted by cancer. Preference will be given to an applicant who is a cancer survivor. Application is available to graduating high school seniors only. First-time applicants must have a FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) below $40,000. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, clergy member, guidance counselor, or other community member who they think can best speak to their character, achievements, and potential. Recommendations from relatives or friends are not admissible. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Connecticut Community Foundation for more information.
