About this scholarship
The Edward D. Hendrickson/SAE Engineering Scholarship, established by Hendrickson International, honors the late Edward D. Hendrickson, a pioneer in the commercial vehicle industry. Applicants must be students who will pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET-accredited program. They must submit two Letters of Recommendation, one that focuses on academics and one that outlines the applicant's involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment. Special consideration will be given to those who plan to pursue a career in the Commercial Vehicle Industry (such as, studying areas such as electric and autonomous vehicles, connectivity and data, predictive maintenance, improved fuel efficiencies, and on-highway emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles).
