About this scholarship

In 1985, GFOA's Executive Board voted to create the Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship to recognize outstanding performances by graduate program students preparing for a career in state and local government finance. The Goldberg-Miller Public Finance Scholarship is funded by the Girard Miller Foundation. The course of study that the applicant must be pursuing is not specified, but it should have a relationship to state/local government finance. There is no employment requirement to apply for this scholarship. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from someone who can speak to their commitment to the public sector. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Government Finance Officers Association for more information.
