About this scholarship
The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois encourages academically talented Illinois students, especially minority students, to pursue teaching careers at high-need schools by providing tuition assistance. College underclassmen may receive up to $2,500, and upperclassmen up to $5,000. Recipients must commit to teaching full-time for five years at an Illinois School of Need within two years of graduation.
