About this scholarship
The John Lennon Scholarship, established by Yoko Ono in 1997, helps young music-making college students pay for their education. Each year, three awards totaling $20,000 are given to current college students and alumni ages 17-24 who compose or write songs in contemporary musical genres including alternative, rock, R&B, and more.
