The Karen Mashburn Environmental Scholars Program awards $10,000 annually to one U.S. citizen or permanent resident enrolled in a U.S. institution pursuing environmental or education-related fields. Recipients must participate in a required 14-week, 15-hour/week internship at the Friends of the Everglades Office in Stuart, Florida during the Fall semester.
