About this scholarship
The Mark Martinez Scholarship, funded by the Martinez family, honors the life and legacy of Mark Martinez, a Frederick High School graduate and beloved member of the Carbon Valley community. This one-time award of up to $10,000 is available to seniors at Frederick High School who plan to pursue a four-year college degree, have a minimum GPA of 2.50, and no failing grades on their transcript. The number of recipients may vary each year, which affects the maximum award per student. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses at an accredited four-year college or university, with disbursements split between semesters. Applicants must submit a high school transcript with fall grades, respond to short answer questions, and upload a 2-3 minute video as part of the online application.
