The Merfeld Family Foundation Scholarship is offered to graduating high school seniors or current college students pursuing a professional certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree. Students whose parents or guardians are diagnosed with ALS are encouraged to apply, with special consideration given to students from Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, California, or Iowa.
