About this scholarship
The Patty and Melvin Alperin First Generation Scholarship annually awards $1,000 to $1,500 to Rhode Island high school seniors who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college, in addition to current college students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and their parents must have not graduated from college.
