This scholarship honors Pete and Consuelo Hernandez by supporting underrepresented students pursuing higher education in California. Any underrepresented minority high school senior or first-year undergraduate student in California who are the first in their family to go to college may apply. First place winner receives $2,200, second place $1,800, and third place $1,400.
