About this scholarship
The Underwood-Smith Teaching Scholars Program awards up to 25 West Virginia high school seniors or recent graduates $10,000 annually for up to four years to pursue careers in math, science, elementary education, or special education. Recipients must commit to teaching in a West Virginia public school for five consecutive years after graduation.
