About this scholarship
The Fred R. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship annually awards $1,000 to one student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in electronics, communications, or related fields. Applicants must reside and attend a post-secondary institution in the FCC 5th call district (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico) and hold a General Class or higher US Amateur Radio License.
